A closer look at Finse

Finse has no road connection, so the station is the village’s link with the rest of Norway. The railway, a handful of buildings and the open mountain landscape form a compact setting in which travel and weather are always part of the picture.

In winter, snow covers the plateau and draws skiers and ski tourers; in summer, the lake thaws and hikers and cyclists follow the Rallarvegen along the railway.
