Durban
Durban, South Africa
With about 3.5 million inhabitants, Durban is the second most populous South African city. It is famous for being the busiest port in Africa and also a major centre of tourism due to the city’s warm subtropical climate and beaches. The earthTV camera is facing Durban Beach with a focus on Battery Beach and the so-called „Golden Mile“, the most popular stretch of beachfront in the city. We will capture pictures of the whole promenade that runs along with it as well as all beach and sports activities going on around and in the water. Durban is a popular place for surfing, kite surfing and body boarding. Just north of Durban there's Umhlanga Rocks, a popular vacation destination.
