Jerusalem, Israel

Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, located in the Judean Mountains, between the Mediterranean Sea and the northern edge of the Dead Sea, and has a population of about 770,000.

The earthTV camera is placed on top of Dan Boutique Hotel and offers a lovely view over the “Yemin Moshe” quarter which was originally designed as additional housing space to Jerusalem’s Old City in 1891.
Moreover, the camera captures Mount Zion, situated south-western from the Old City walls. Important sites on Mount Zion are Dormition Abbey, King David's Tomb and the Room of the Last Supper.

The Old City of Jerusalem was pronounced UNESCO World Heritage of humanity in 1981. Amongst its most famous sights are the Western Wall, the Temple Mount on which the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque have been erected, the Mount of Olives with the Gethsemane garden, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre as well as the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem.
