Cannes, France

Cannes is a city located at the Côte d'Azur in the South of France and has about 70,000 inhabitants. The Mediterranean climate, due to which the city enjoys mild winters and about 12 hours of sunshine per day during summer, as well as the annual "Cannes Film Festival" have made Cannes one of the best-known cities at the French Riviera and therefore a popular tourist destination. Our camera is located off the "Old Port" and offers a great view over the luxurious yachts and the Mediterranean in the background. Behind the port the old town of Cannes, the so-called "Le Suquet", begins. Amidst the old town on a little hill we will present the old fortress "La Castre" and the adjacent Chapel of St. Anne which nowadays host the "Musée de la Castre", a museum for historical artefacts.
