Since 1977, Hamburg celebrates the Hafengeburtstag – these days, the event attracts over one million visitors each year. From May 7-9, Hamburg's harbour is the centre of a big party - the earthTV camera shows the event LIVE.

The official opening of Hamburg's Harbour Birthday takes place aboard the museum ship Rickmer Rickmers. The highlights of the Harbour Birthday are: the many international ships that are visiting, the ballet of the big ships which is always attracting thousands of spectators, the harbour mile with its live music, fun rides and a big firework display on Saturday evening.
