Geographical Features:
This ancient land shows its history in its landscape. The centre and north is mountainous, and the coastline so jagged, with so many islands, that it's the longest in Europe, even though the country is quite small. A forested nation until a few centuries ago, now it is famous for its dazzling rock outcrops, which on close inspection often reveal themselves to be the ruins of ancient architecture. The Peloponnesus is agricultural, with much land in olive groves. The spine of Crete is a mountain range, often snow-capped.
