Canazei is the most famous village in the Fassa Valley. From the centre of Canazei you can travel on the cable-car from Canazei/Pecol to the skiing area Belvedere/Col Rodella. Geographical Features:
The spine of Italy is the Apennine Mountain Range, which spreads to either side into rolling hills extending everywhere to the shores of the country. The Po River valley in the northeast in the country's largest lowland. Occasional earthquakes and three active volcanoes, Stromboli in the Aeolian Islands, Vesuvius near Naples and Etna on Sicily, cause havoc from time to time.
